I built the website for two urban communities in India, following supplied strategy and design. The communities combine places to live and work with public space and activities, so the site needed to cover more than a catalogue of property developments.
The main structural challenge was keeping the two locations clear. Each has its own projects and information, but both belong within one website. The content needed to show that relationship without leaving visitors unsure which location they were exploring.
Shared structure, distinct locations
I implemented location pages and project overviews within a shared WordPress structure. Masterplan content introduces the wider setting, while residential and commercial pages allow people to look more closely at individual parts of it.
Events and stories sit alongside the development information. These sections give the site a way to cover what happens within the communities, as well as the buildings themselves. Enquiry routes connect that information with the teams responsible for it.
From a masterplan to a useful page
The build brings broad location information, detailed projects and interactive sections together within the supplied design. A visitor can begin with a community overview, then move towards the part that interests them without leaving the location’s context.
My role was the website development, including the page hierarchy and editable layouts. This is a good example of a project where the content structure matters as much as the visual presentation: the same platform has to explain two places and several different reasons for visiting them.
