I built a WordPress website for a modern classic charter yacht. The site introduces the boat through photography, then gives prospective guests a way to understand the accommodation, explore the specification and make an enquiry.
The practical part of the build was distinguishing between someone with a general question and someone considering a charter. Those are different conversations, and the website needed to give each a clear starting point.
Two routes to an enquiry
The build includes a general contact form and a separate charter request form. A custom calendar forms part of the charter journey, keeping the date selection close to the enquiry.
The specification pages bring together technical information, deck plans and accommodation details. Interior and exterior galleries allow visitors to look around the yacht before contacting the team. Keeping that information distinct from the main introduction gives the imagery space without making the practical details difficult to find.
Room for the offering to grow
The website also needed to accommodate more than a single type of charter enquiry. Its structure leaves room for uses such as events and commercial shoots as the offering develops.
My work was the website implementation: connecting the supplied design, yacht information and enquiry features in one manageable WordPress build. The calendar and the separation of the forms are the small functional details that make this project more than a photographic showcase.
