I built RVT Group’s UK website and continue to manage it. RVT provides specialist equipment for controlling hazards such as dust, noise and fumes, so the website needs to help customers navigate a technical catalogue and explain what they need for a particular site or project.
I developed the site in WordPress with custom Gutenberg and ACF blocks, using Timber/Twig for the templates and JavaScript for the interactive features. The content structure brings together equipment, industries, case studies and educational resources, giving the team a consistent way to maintain a large and varied website.
A central part of the build is the custom quotation basket. Customers can collect products while browsing, adjust quantities and keep their selections as they move around the site. Those choices feed into the enquiry journey, giving the team context about the equipment a customer is interested in. The catalogue also supports related products, variations and technical specifications.
I built the surrounding tools that make that catalogue useful: search and filtered listings, product information layouts, contextual calls to action and resource-download journeys. Brochures, whitepapers, toolbox talks and posters can be managed in the CMS, with the relevant document presented after the associated enquiry or download step.
My involvement continues beyond the initial build. I manage the website, maintain its components and dependencies, and refine the experience as the business’s requirements change. It is a substantial example of my development work: a complete, editable website with custom behaviour shaped around how the company sells and supports its services.
