I built the Stagecoach Canada website and the custom API integrations for Stagecoach’s international websites, alongside integration work for the UK platform. My work connects the public website with the systems that hold school, venue and course information, helping families find the right classes and take the next step.
The Canadian site sits within Stagecoach’s wider brand and website platform. It uses WordPress, ACF and Timber/Twig, with custom PHP and JavaScript around the data-heavy parts of the experience. That includes bringing imported course information into editable website structures and presenting it consistently across local school pages and search results.
The integration work involves more than displaying an API response. I work with the relationships between franchises, venues, courses and individual dates, carrying through information such as class times, pricing, trial options, descriptions and booking destinations. Changes to source data need to reach the right part of the website without losing that context.
Enquiries are another part of the same journey. I built the connections between website forms, the chosen school and external enquiry services, including dynamically populated choices and franchise routing. The work also covers how imported classes appear in search and how their dates and availability affect what families see.
This is ongoing development across a connected set of websites and systems. It shows the kind of work I enjoy: understanding an organisation’s existing processes, building the connections between them and making the result useful to both the people managing the service and the families using it.
